Ariel Ruby (Ariel Maria Ruby Mather Palmese)…
is an emerging artist and freelance designer based between Sydney and Hobart.
She has been a member of TV House turned Good Grief Studios in Hobart since 2016,
and is a current board member and volunteer for GG.
Ariel’s practice explores fluid boundaries between reality and fantasy,
in an ecological and technological context where material distinctions of the
natural or artificial are dissolved. The affect and effects of liquidity and plasticity
are extended through a variety of mediums spanning video, photography and
sculpture, culminating in installation contexts.
BA Visual Communications - University of Technology Sydney, 2013-15.
Hons Fine Arts (Sculpture) - University of Tasmania, 2017.
